This year’s Festival includes a number of opportunities to play games on site.

Check out the award-nominated games before you hit the Festival or play them at any time at our on-site Game Arcade.

We also encourage you to check out two new events supported by Microsoft: the Kinect Lounge (which kicks off during Opening Night festivities) as well as a play test of a new game out of Microsoft Research.

Awards Arcade

An opportunity to play the nominees of this year’s Games for Change Awards. Awards will be presented at a Closing Night ceremony in the following categories: Most Significant Impact, Most Innovative Game, Best Gameplay,
Knight News Game
and… Game of the Year.

Contoso PII is the code name for the Microsoft card game designed to teach software development teams the importance of investing in adequate and appropriate privacy and security policies.

G4LI Game Play Expo

Greenberg Lounge, NYU Law School

The G4LI Game Play Expo allows festival attendees to play over 30 STEM-based games, including prototypes, minigames, and commercial products, presented by G4LI and their esteemed industry partners. The Expo is also an opportunity to learn about the latest in game-based research from G4LI’s consortium of universities and educational networks.
